DAS Leads Retailers “Back to the Future”

 

LANCASTER, PA, June 15, 2011/– DAS, Inc – RoadPro Brands, On  May 4th – 6th,  DAS Inc, the nation’s leading travel center distributor, held its annual Travel Center show themed ”Back to the Future.”  DAS took over 250 retailer partners representing over 1,000 retail store fronts “back” to historic Lancaster, PA at the newly opened Penn Square Marriott Hotel located in the Lancaster County Convention Center.    And, DAS took its partners “to the future” of Travel Center retailing by demonstrating its differentiated capabilities to productively build retailers’ profitability.

  • Five RoadPro Family of Brand booths showed off DAS’s growing portfolio of distinct-solution, great-value private brands.


  • Over 125 supplier booths demonstrated DAS’s global product portfolio including Garmin, Dickie’s, Escort, Coleman and US Lube.


  • The New Product Pavilion showcased 50 best-of-2011 products for retailers to vote on as best-of-show.


  • The Closeout Room offered a ton of savings on a variety of products.


  • The Store of Tomorrow, a holistic approach to store merchandising, floor planning, space allocation and promotional philosophy where presented. The store showed off a variety of permanent, semi-permanent, and temporary merchandising systems custom-designed to close more sales along the path to purchase.

Guests also had fun with the show’s theme.  A DeLorean with special effects including lights and “smoke” gave guest the perfect photo opportunity.  Throughout the show attendees participated in Back to the Future themed games.  Guests enjoyed a Lancaster Barnstormers baseball game, a golf tournament, and a trip to Atlantic City.   “Throughout the show we want our Customers to know how important they are to us; and our partnership with them is more than just a business relationship” re-affirmed Steve Birli, Vice President Sales—Travel Centers.
