This driver portfolio is called an AppPak TM. Drivers cannot delete information (e.g. an accident on their MVR) but they can add documentation (e.g., a police accident report) that is clearly marked as "user supplied."
Drivers may then search for companies that offer what they are looking for and email the company. The company, if interested in the driver, may instantly obtain the driver's AppPak TM allowing them to concentrate their recruiting efforts on those drivers who want to work for them and can provide them their independently authenticated driving, employment and criminal history.

Exactly what Information is in the AppPak™?
It will vary by driver, but you will know what is in the driver’s AppPak™ prior to your order. Potential information you will find is:
- The Motor Vehicle Report
- An Identity Authentication/SSN/Public Record Screen
Checks the applicant’s address, phone, driver license number format and 10 government terrorist/drug/watch list files.
Verifies that the number is in a valid range. (Numbers are assigned in group orders and the number is checked for to insure it is in a permitted range.)
Shows the state of issue.
Shows the year (or range of years) of issue.
Shows if the SSN has been reported to the Social Security Administration as deceased.

- A criminal record database screen
This report will show the results of a search of the largest publicly available criminal database. The database contains over 200 million records that have gathered from states, counties and federal terrorist watch lists. The database includes sex and violent offender records from available states as well as incarceration records from available states.
- A “DAC Report” if the driver has obtained his copy and stored it.
- Various other documents including resumes, military discharge papers, safe driving awards, driving school certificates, accident reports, employment verifications and National Driver Register checks.
Can the driver change his reports? For example, can he “fix” his MVR or criminal record?
No. There are two categories of information in the driver AppPak™ : “certified” and “user supplied.” Any information that comes from the source directly to DOTJobHistory is certified and cannot be amended by the driver. Drivers may put records in their own portfolio and these are not certified, but rather “user supplied.”
Of course, drivers are under no obligation to send you their AppPak™ . They can decide whether to send their credentials, but they cannot change their credentials.
If the driver has registered with FiveStarDriver and I see that he has his AppPak™, does this mean the driver is spotless?
No. The driver may have a criminal offense, his MVR may have a driving violation, his past employers may have terminated him for too many DOT accidents. However, even in the instances where the driver’s qualifications fall outside your acceptable range, you know about it quickly and cheaply--before you’ve spent additional money on screening or testing. It also allows you to shift your efforts to quickly focus on those drivers whose qualifications meet your standards.
If I obtain an AppPak™, do I need any other background check?
Yes. You should still conduct whatever due diligence you normally perform on the person to whom you intend to hire. The value of the AppPak™ is to help you obtain more and higher quality applicants allowing you to sort through the sea of resumes and applications and focus on those candidates who are willing to have their qualifications verified and provided—up front.
