As our nation is facing historical budgetary deficits, the White House
and the Congress are getting desperate to raise revenues without
raising taxes. After all, elections are just around the corner and no
one wants to look bad around the election time. So, Congress is
pressuring the IRS to improve the tax collection methods and processes,
and collect on the estimated $345 billion tax gap.
